Housing & Building National Research Center (HBRC)
We contribute to the management of the technical system of construction and housing in Egypt to reach the highest quality of various facilities in term of safe and economical facility through researches, technical consultations, codes, legislations and tests in our internationally accredited laboratories.
The Center (HBRC) was established in 1945 as a building Research Institute. In 2005, Republican Decrees No. 63 and 64 of 2005 were issued to Rename the Housing and Building Research Center to become The Housing and Building National Research Center (HBRC), and follows the Minister of Housing and Urban Communities and has its main headquarter in Cairo.
The (HBRC) library is one of the largest libraries that serves the engineering sector in Egypt. It was established in 1962 and it contains many modern references and a large number of local and international specialized books and scientific journals in various fields of construction, building, architecture and planning, as well as the various branches of engineering and basic sciences
