Research Activities

1. Design Review:
The institute conducts design reviews and assessments for major projects, ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations. This includes multi-purpose facilities, hospitals, residential projects, and concrete bridges.

2. Code Development:
The institute actively participates in the development of various codes and specifications for construction works. The following are examples of codes and specifications that the institute has contributed to:

4. Supervision of work Execution:
The institute has supervised numerous important projects of national significance, exceeding a cost of one billion Egyptian pounds. Additionally, it has supervised several private projects. For these projects, a team of institute members is formed to monitor on-site activities and supervise the execution of major government projects.

5. Research and Scientific Theses:
Since its establishment, the institute has collaborated with various Egyptian government of universities and participated in research activities and supervision of scientific theses for Master's and Ph.D. students, both from within the institute and external candidates.

6. Training:
The institute organizes several training courses for fresh engineering graduates and individuals interested in enhancing their skills and keeping up with advancements in the field of engineering. The institute's training certification is considered an important qualification for obtaining the title of consulting engineer. Some of the courses offered by the institute include:

- Course on Defects in Structures, Avoidance Methods, and Repair Techniques.
- Course on the Egyptian Code for Reinforced Concrete.
- Course on Supervision of work Execution.
- Course on Applications and Solved Examples on Concrete Structures design using Egyptian Codes.
- Course on Site Visits and Field Training.
- Course on Quantity Surveying and Reviewing quantity surveying on-site and from shop Drawings for all specializations.
