Introduction

Housing and Building National Research Center (HBRC) is an independent governmental research establishment subordinate to the Ministry of Housing Utilities and Urban Communities. It has been founded 70 years ago. HBRC is responsible for issuing the building codes and technical specifications.

Scientific Research and consultation activities are conducted through eleven scientific institutions representing different engineering disciplines. In addition, HBRC possesses accredited and credited engineering laboratories, which are utilized both in research and in practice on the local and regional levels. Egypt Green Building Council headquarters is hosted at HBRC premises. More over the scientific journal of HBRC recently classified as Q1 journal

This international conference celebrates the Seventh anniversary of HBRC and is expected to gather distinguished experts in construction engineering and urban development.
